For anybody in the Denver area, the Esquire theater will be showing Clue for its Midnight Madness screening on March 27th and 28th! I've been to a couple of these screenings before, and they're loads of fun. Only $7.50, which is cheaper than a regular movie ticket, these days.

Come see Madeline playing Mrs. White (one of my favorite roles of hers)!

i saw young frankenstein on broadway yesterday. i dont know how i felt about megan's take on elizabeth. it was soo different from madeline's characterization. of course if it had been too much like madeline's performance i would have been unhappy. it's just strange seeing such a different take on the character.

any of you guys see it?

Hi all! I'm new to this community. I am also new to Madeline. Well, kind of.  I had seen her in "What's Up Doc?" and "The Muppet Movie" and "Paper Moon" all when I was little, but I was too young to remember. The only thing that I really knew her from was "Clue," but even that was one of those things where I loved the character, but didn't know who the actress was.

So just recently I found out that Megan Mullally will be playing Madeline's part in "Young Frankenstein" on Broadway. I had never seen the movie, but I was a huge Megan fan, so I decided to sit down and watch it to see what the part was. Well, Madeline was a riot! She was my favorite character! I said 'hey, there's something here.' and so I tried to find out more about her and watched all of her youtube videos within like 2 days. To make a long story short, I fell in love with her! She's fantastic! She's so funny and talented and adorable! But right as I was becoming enamored with her, I found out she died...almost 8 years ago. I was devastated. And shocked. And heartbroken.

So now I'm watching all of this stuff that she's done years ago, but for me I'm watching most of it for the first time. And I'm falling in love with her while at the same time getting my heart broken because I have to remind myself that she's gone. How much of a complex is that!? I don't know what to do with myself. I feel so behind the times on this one. I have that feeling of becoming completely infatuated with someone and really happy, but also completely sad and depressed that she's gone. Hopefully joining this community will cheer me up, and open my eyes to more wonderful things about Madeline.

I'm very glad to see that there is a lj community just for her. I was worried I wouldn't find one, or that it wouldn't be active. So...yay!

Kristin Chenoweth will not be playing the role of Elizabeth in Young Frankenstein the musical. She dropped out for a sitcom role. Now Megan Mullally will be playing the part made famous by Madeline Kahn.

Hello all. I am new to this community. I am so glad to find a Madeline Kahn fan community.
She was such an amazing lady.

I recently posted some Sherlock stuff on YouTube. I apologize that the sound is not totally in sync with the mouth movements. YouTube does that sometimes, and I just cannot figure it out.

But what is YouTube without the Kangaroo Hop? I ask you.

wow...it has been too long since a post! i have been so busy with finals and the holidays that i have neglected my lj community. :-( im working on some icons that i will post before i head back to school. if you guys have anything you want to post feel free...i feel like i may have confused some people with the stamping stuff so im going to get rid of it and make the info a bit more legible. there are absolutely no rules about posting. anyone in the community can post an entry as long as its about madeline.

hey guys!
so most of you probably already know that young frankenstein is being made into a musical. kristin chenoweth has been cast as elizabeth in the pre-broadway workshop. a lot of her fans are upset because of a mix up in the papers that stated she was originally cast as inga...most of them wish she was really cast as inga. i think kristin is great for the role of elizabeth who better than an avid madeline kahn fan to play a part made so famous by kahn. (for those of you who dont know kristin loves madeline kahn and even named her dog after her) plus shes got great comedic talent. sutton foster will be playing the role of inga. post a comment on your thoughts on the topic and how you feel about kristin playing a part that mk made so famous. id like to hear both sides so really feel free to post what youre thinking dont let my opinions of kristin sway you.
